Media Monday #436
1. Bevor bald schon wieder die Vorweihnachtszeit beginnt würde ich gerne erstmal richtig im Herbst ankommen. Und war grade nicht noch Sommer???
2. Neue Ideen für Filme sollten ja wohl noch möglich sein, schließlich kann Hollywood nicht auf ewig nur Remakes und Superheldenfilme drehen!!!
3. Ich mag mich täuschen, aber Geschichten über wahre Begebenheiten sind wieder leicht im Aufwind.
4. Sylvester Stallone hat ihren/seinen Zenit ja auch spätestens mit dem vorletzten Rocky oder Rambo überschritten gehabt, denn den beinharten Boxer bzw. Junglekämpfer nimmt Opi Sly ja wohl keiner mehr ab.
5. Eine der denkwürdigsten Kinovorstellungen für mich war wohl ‚Titanic‘, auch wenn das nicht so sehr am Film lag, sondern an den fünf Teens, die hinter uns saßen, anfingen zu heulen als DiCaprio zum ersten Mal auf der Leinwand auftauchte und den ganzen Film nicht mehr aufhörten….natürlich alles so geräuschvoll, dass zumindest das halbe Kino alles mitbekam.
6. Politik ist bei uns immer wieder Thema in geselliger Runde, denn schließlich geht das auch jeden etwas an.
7. Zuletzt habe ich die zweite Staffel von ‚Jack Ryan‚ gebingt und als Gegengewicht die neueste Sendung von ‚Children in Need‚ der BBC geschaut und das war lohneneswert, weil das eine gut gemachte Spannung und das andere rührende, aber auch amüsante Unterhaltung bot.
Unkraut vergeht nicht....oder doch? 
5. Im Nachhinein ist es ja irgendwie witzig, wie Teenies sich reinsteigern können. In der Situation war es aber bestimmt für alle anderen Zuschauer mehr als nervig.

3. Real events are very interesting and to me more intriguing than endless zombie and movies where children are isolated in a cabin with someone they barely know and are scared to death
4.Stallone needs to quit while he is ahead. He could have moved into more dramatic roles and chose the easy way out IMO
5. The visual you give here is priceless. Di Caprio ad his modelizer ways
6. Yes! global concern
7. I have not seen the first series of Jack RYan although it is in my Amazon watch list not high on the list. I tried Treadstone and it is pretty bad.. worse writing that Berlin Station IMO

@Bette: Zumindest in der Reihe vor ihnen hätte ich mir ein wenig mehr Ruhe gewünscht, weil man stellenweise kaum was verstanden hat durch das Geheule von hinten 🙂

@Michele: Well, when I saw that movie in 1998 DiCaprio wasn’t a modelizer as far as I know.
Can’t say anything about Treadstone, in my part of the woods it isn’t released yet.

It’s snowed three times here and deer hunting is three weeks away and end of semester is six weeks away — where did 2019 go?

@Michele: Ah well, it happens once in a while. But in the 90’s it was more rare than nowadays that’s for sure.

Yeah — two days before Halloween, and then on Halloween itself, and then on Saturday. We usually say „it can snow any time after Halloween“ but it’s fairly rare to have it ahead of time.

Herba My sister was under his hypnotic spell too with Titanic. She saw it 5 times in the cinema. oh he is a notorious modelizer starting I think with Giselle right after Titanic came out. In my mind she was the one that got away for him…

Herba I seem to pick cinemas that have virtually no people or the people come in and think they are living at home bare feet, blankets, constant chatter…

@Michele: Thankfully I never caught that bug and I am really neutral when it comes to him. I don’t dislike him but I also don’t follow him and his career closely.

Herba I frankly don’t know what the hub bub about him is. I don’t think he is particularly talented, he is supposedly environmentally a huge advocate but he’s certainly no Greta Thurnberg. He seems rather shallow to me. Perhaps he is an excellent networker or great to work with since he seems to work with the same directors.. I do wish he would keep his personal life more private..

I don’t know how genuine his engagement for mother earth is because I don’t know enough about him and what he does, but I always thought ‚better than nothing‘ from afar.

Heulende Teenies bei di Caprio? Zum Glück saßen die Mädchen, die bei Sieben Jahre in Tibet damals Brad Pitt anschmachteten, in der letzten Reihe – meine Mutter und ich saßen ganz vorne. Da war gaaaanz viel Platz dazwischen.
Wir waren aber nicht wegen Brad Pitt im Kino, sondern wegen des Bergpanoramas.

@Blaupause: oh, den hab ich auch im Kino gesehen, samt Fangirls ein paar Reihen hinter uns. Aber die haben nur ab und zu verzückt geseufzt, von daher hat das nicht weiter gestört
