Das National Theatre hält regelmäßig Talks zu den aktuellen Stücken ab, stellt Ausschnitte online und ich finde es sehr interessant, den Schauspielern zuzuhören.
Und natürlich ist das noch interessanter, wenn man die betreffende Inszenierung gesehen hat, wie ich in diesem Fall ‚Antony & Cleopatra‚.
Okonedo spricht über die Schlangen, sie in einer Shakespeare-Produktion, ihre Kostüme, Chemie zum Gegenpart und erste Erfahrungen mit Shakespeare.
Fiennes spricht über den Zugang zu Antony, die Größe der Bühne, Shakespeare als moderne Inszenierung, seine Kostüme, das Ende der Spielzeit, Shakespeare als Gute-Nacht-Geschichte und seine Liebe zum Theater

Unkraut vergeht nicht....oder doch? 
Herba, first this was a delightful interview with Ralph and Sophie. I noticed toward the end that Ralph gave you a sneaky peeky at his belly button as his shirt button was undone.
I thought Sophie was very subtle and down to earth and her lack of fear of snakes is great! I liked how she said the four snakes used varied in their personalities as moody or frisky and she compared her performances like that as well. Ralph discussing his childhood exposure to Hamlet by his mum was just charming! The one con here was his touching and itching that monstrosity of a beard and then the hands to his face and hair almost like a nervous tick. But I love Shakespeare and to hear him speak of the play and Shakespeare in general with such unabashed love and joy was fantastic. Was your heart racing just a bit what his hands were doing?

@Michele: Yes, it was and yes he did, but rather unintentionally I guess 🙂
Sophie talked quite a bit about the snakes during interviews for A&C and all of it was very interesting and I could see the different spirit of the snakes (at least two of them).
He does that a lot during interviews when he sits down for them and he loves to talk about his parents, always really moving!
No heart racing but I totally blame that on the cold I’m dealing with right now. But at least it really made me smile all the way through 🙂

Herba, I’m so sorry about your cold! I was smiling the whole time to although Sophie is a low talker and quiet. I was straining a bit to hear her. That must have been a fantastic show, lucky duck!!!

Yes, but she can talk very hearable, at least as Cleopatra she can 😀

Och nö, das ist ja schon wieder dieser böse Wolf, der auch schon das Armitage-Gespräch im Old Vic damals so dröge moderiert hat…

@Guylty: Das dachte ich mir auch, aber bei diesem Zusammenschnitt fällt seine etwas langweilige Art weniger auf, als bei dem Interview mit RA, das ja mehr oder weniger komplett zur Verfügung gestellt wurde

Stimmt. Wobei ich zugeben muss, dass mich Wolf hier dann doch schon wieder so genervt hat, dass ich nicht länger als 10 Minuten ausgehalten habe…

I have to admit I thought the live snake was a kind of superfluous gimmick, but she did do it really well. Thanks for posting this; I’d not have seen it otherwise.

@Servetus: I thought about it too before I saw it and was curious wether they would make a special show out of the snake. I was really glad they didn’t and it felt really natural and fitting.
