4: Didn’t realize that either, but now that you say it … 🙂
6: Me too.

Speaking of Downtown Abbey I’m almost up to S5. Bates story wearing a little thin now. Brendan Coyle looks bored half the time… I like the chap Charles Blake, the pig scene with Mary was sweet… I never shop Black Friday in the US nor Cyber Monday b/c I’m a Cyber Monday shopper all the time lately it seems… Did you like Poldark? My dad raves about it and Aidan Turner, so is it worth watching?

@Servetus: These movies are a treasure trove for british faces 🙂

@Michele: I haven’t watched Poldark yet but I really like Aidan Turner since I watched ‚Being Human‘ years ago (and as Kili of course) und I sure will give Poldark a try at some point

Herba, yep me too on Poldark. My dad just raves about this show. I started S5 of Downton Abbey and S4 was sluggish to say the least. I thought I read Clooney is supposed to pop up in one of the seasons but I may be wrong on that. I love the chatter between Maggie Smith and Penelope Wilton’s characters. They have by far the best lines in the series….

@Michele: The Clooney story was a april fool’s day story when I remember correctly.
Maggie Smith as Granny is great, I love her so much!

Herba, ah I thought that snagging old George would have been a coup! Paul Giamotti popped up as Harold, Cora’s brother so that was interesting although I think he restrained himself. No real facial acting.. Loved him in Sideways!!! Maggie Smith is a delight!! She really makes that show her own!!

@Michele: Paul Giamatti is a great actor but he often plays arrogant idiots, so I am not that fond of him, although I know very well that’s not fair to him.
The BBC did a docu some time ago where Maggie SMith, Judi Dench and two other actresses were interviews together – such a great thing to watch, but I can’t remember the title right now. Something with ‚Dame‘ in it….

I’ll google it! Yeah I’m not really a fan of Giamotti’s but I loved Sideways a lot! I haven’t seen him in a lot of films although he is a wonderful character actor, I think a tad underrated

@Michele: I don’t think I saw Sideways…or if I have I’d forgotten all about it.
I watched a tv series with him in one of the key roles (Billions) and came to appreciate his skills as an actor. There is a Netflix movie (Private Life?) with him out or will be soon out that looked a bit different than his normal roles, so I’ll check that out at some point

Yeah I haven’t checked out Billions yet. My dad likes that show too. I like Damien what’s his last name who is in it from Homeland,. Sideways is sweet, touching, a little uncomfortable to watch (for me at least) and beautiful as far as wine country in Northern California goes. The two females in it Sandra Oh and Virginia Madsen are well cast as well. I think you would really like it!! Thomas Haden Church is the road buddy in it and he is fabulous!

@Michele: Billions is sometimes a bit hard to watch when you’re not really into investment banking and Hedgefonds but I started watching because of Damian Lewis (another Brit I like to watch) and stayed on it so far.
I’ll have to check that out then.

Lewis that was his last name!! Ah danke! Homeland? I will admit when Lewis left that show it wasn’t the same. I like Claire Danes it is her show and Mandy Patinkin is fantastic but Lewis provided mystery and suspense that went south after S3 I think…

Ja, ‚And then there were none‘ war ganz stark, nicht nur aber auch wegen AT! Loving Vincent kenne ich bisher nicht

@Michele: I have to admitt I lost interest after two season of Homeland because Claire Danes role irritated the heck out of me even if I like Danes a lot.
